Replication Workshop series

evdoxia.kouraki

Hi all & Happy New Year!

Great to see most of you at the first partnership meeting last week!

During the partnership meeting, my colleague @emilia.pisani and I mentioned that we are planning a series of replication workshops to assist SCORE partners to set up the first replication steps. Our aim is to help SCORE partners to replicate their solutions in other SCORE cities.

Our plan is to have one workshop every month, starting from February 2021 until May 2021. In every workshop, we would like to focus on only one SCORE solution as a case study and with the help of replication guidelines try to replicate it in interested cities.

So, SCORE Solution Owners please respond below in case your solution is ready to be replicated in other cities and you need help! Then we can book a call and discuss the details!

Prel. available dates for workshops can be found below:

23th of February 23, 10:00-12:00
16 or 17th of March, time tbc **
20, 21 or 22th of April , time tbc **
18 or 19th of May, time tbc**

Looking forward to your responses!!

Best
//Eva and Emilia

For us it depends on these two current replication opportunities:

  • QR Toolkit - Gothenburg? @klantto
  • IOT Registry (after the extensive upgrade we did to our local repository in Aug-Sept 2020) - Aarhus? @kimsovso
klantto

@Tim I think Noel and Gothenburg would like to try this.

kimsovso

Hi Tim

I have some ideas about somehow stitching together the IoT Registry and our new OS2iot device management platform.

I’ll have to run through the idea internally and will get back to you asap.

Regards,
Kim

timvanachte

OK @kimsovso, looking forward very much to your stitching effort and following your efforts will also help us learn more about OS2iot.

When discussing the idea internally, feel free to show the current IOT Registry Ghent as demo/example:

And you can scroll through this documentation page to get an idea about the newest set up and the IOTreg’s current feature set (which was heavily updated, improved and linked to the APIAPI for managing data streams in August-September last year)

If interested, District09 definitely has some space to co-develop additional generic features that would be beneficial for other cities.

PS Translation of the datalayer navigation (bottom left) for you:

  • Smart traffic information

  • Camera
    • Number plate recognition
  • Sensor
    • Positioning
  • Mobility sharing
    • Carsharing
    • Bikesharing

Hello all, Perhaps a daft question but have we defined what a solution is? By that I mean in the terms of SCORE? So are the tenders that Bradford Municipality have written “solutions”? They are replicable and another Municipality in the UK have asked for a copy so that they can use it as template.

Could this be of help Adrian? https://score.community/c/work-packages/challenges-and-solutions/7

@klantto I’ll have a look :slight_smile: thank you :slight_smile:

Dear all,

I would like to share with you that we had our first replication workshop on 3/3/2021 about "The MobilIty Dashboard " solution together with Bergen and Gothenburg.

All material from the WS can be found at the link below (Recording is in Swedish/Norwegian but notes & presentations in English): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZEuRO-thjkP_EB9gKqvTi8WV4T8l5mjq/edit?pli=1#gid=2078525990

As a next step, Gothenburg city will work internally and decide on specific data sets they would like to test in the Mobility Dashboard platform. A follow-up WS will be booked soon to make this pilot test

We are also planning a workshop on the 1st of April together with Gent where focus will be given on 3 SCORE solutions (Signalen, QR code toolkit and Crowd flow)… An invitation with more information will be send to all of you soon!!!

As a possible inspiration for Bergen and Gothenburg’s Mobility Dashboards, the TMaaS project in Ghent presented the final version of their public dashboard from their UIA project (as project is finished, the actual data links seem to be no longer updated, but link is still accessible as demo)

Dear all,

We would like to share with you the invitation to the “SCORE Living Lab Methods Replication Workshop” co-organised with IMEC living labs from Ghent and City of Ghent which will take place on Thursday, April 1st at 10:00-14:00 CET.

The idea of this workshop is to get to know some living lab methods to assess your solution before and during development, in order for you to make a solution that’s valuable.

We will be focusing on the following SCORE Solutions:

  • QR Code Toolkit: using QR codes to follow or report city objects and set-up IoT sensor proof-of-concept
  • Signalen: making it easier for residents to make a report and helping the city prioritize their response
  • Crowd flow dashboard: increasing crowd related data availability across city department.

ALL SCORE partners are welcome to join this workshop to learn living lab methods that will help you assess your solution before and during development!

SCORE Living Lab Methods Replication Workshop

Going from a pilot to replication and upscaling is one of the greatest challenges for innovative projects. What, how and when to replicate needs to be taken into consideration from the beginning. The idea of this workshop is to get to know some…

Hi @evdoxia.kouraki
Unfortunately I am on annual leave next week and can’t attend. I’ve informed colleagues, but they are busy or on leave also, at that time. This coincides with 2 weeks of Spring holidays for schools, starting from this weekend.
Thanks
Vincent

Hi again,

After our workshop today, some of you asked where you can find the “Replicability Assessment template”.

The Replicability Assessment template can be found on Google Drive in the link below:

This document includes questions to ask the solution owner that will help you to assess the potential of replicating a solution in your city. The template is expected to be filled both from the solution developer and the potential replicator city. Instructions on how to fill it can be found on the top of the document.

But if you have questions please do not hesitate to contact me and Camilla so we can help you!

Dear all,

We would like to inform you that we are planning our next replication workshop together with District09 and City of Ghent on the 19th of May, 9:30-11:30 with focus on QR Code Toolkit!

Aim with this replication workshop is to set up the next replication of the QR Code Toolkit to SCORE cities.

To kickstart your replication of this solution, District09 offers to provide your team with a clean copy of the QR Toolkit. A fully working toolkit of your own, including admin interface where you can start generating working QR Codes for your city departments (like Ghent has been doing successfully to set up a variety of use cases so far for QR Codes). We want to test with you if this approach to replication helps SCORE development teams to learn about the features, test advantages for yourself, apply everything to your city’s challenges and convince your city units to use this solution.

Please check below the updated replicability assessment of QR Code toolkit and let us know if you are interested to replicate the solution & join the workshop.

An invitation with a detailed agenda will be shared eith you shortly

@klantto @sydsimpson @Adrian @dhaval @Bhupesh @kimsovso

Looking forward to your responses!!

Dear all,

We would like to update you that the replication workshop for the QR code Toolkit on the 19th of May will not take place since the interested partners are not yet in the anticipated status to replicate.

Nevertheless, we are working together with Tim and contact via email some of the interested partners so we can book individual meetings and take a step by step approach.
