Introducing Malin Stoldt to Mobility Group

evdoxia.kouraki

Hello @claus @Marie @Mikkel @pjppauwels @brynskov @h.niesing @klantto

I would like to introduce you @malinstoldt who is Project Manager ITS at the Urban Transport Administration of Gothenburg City. Malin will be the person who will participate in the monthly calls of mobility group and try to share more information about the app Trafiken.nu

Therefore, would be great if @Marie could give her an insight about the discussions that the mobility group had so far.

Great if everyone of this group can introduce himself so Malin gets to know you better! Please add also 1-2 lines about ideas you have already and /or if you are interested in Trafiken.nu

Thank you all for your engagement

Best/ Eva

Welcome Malin!

You can introduce yourself, and get a feel for the other colleagues here:

Malin - the mobility group is currently exploring how the cities can collaborate/learn from each other/codevelop solutions. This includes solutions from Gent - MoniTHOR, TMaaS, Hamburg - Geoportal, Gothenburg - Traffiken.nu, Amsterdam - Travel Time Tool, Drukte Radar, as well as Aarhus - Impact of events on mobility. You can see the minutes that the mobility group has been taking here.

The cities of Bergen ( @Are ) and Bradford ( @phezoj ) are also keenly exploring wether they can/want to implement any of the above.

Welcome @malinstoldt, I work for Digipolis Ghent in the local partnership with City of Ghent (Belgium), see also

By the way, in the mobility domain we also identified a specific city challenge concerning accessibility: https://docs.google.com/document/d/14vQQ63yNAEiL5hNznUR9tQYGrHq-WM0LR-9Z29GDRfo/edit

We are in touch with the city’s accessibility department & specialists. To be continued in the Ghent SCORE meeting.

  • Yes, we see potential in the components of Trafiken.nu (curious which open source & open data components it combines?) as well as the traffic monitoring and intelligence related tools shared and suggested by the partner cities (eg. Hamburg Dashboards Hamburg has related to the travel time tool), however to set up a meaningful involvement from our city mobility department and explore possibilities and progress within SCORE, we have not found yet project team members or coordinators that can fully commit to that task in a challenge working group.

  • As @claus mentioned, two ongoing projects in Ghent might be of interest to you (and all who are working in the mobility theme), we have been attempting to involve their respective team members / project leads as involved stakeholders & potential product owners in SCORE challenge working groups (but so far didn’t succeed in that)

Hi @timvanachte!

Thank you for informing me on your work. I’ve begun to look into it. I will provide you with a description of the components of Trafiken.nu in some days. Are there any special area I should focus on?

timvanachte

I was thinking of a general breakdown of the components (not only backend-frontend) but also in terms of libraries, databases, interfaces, API’s, etc. I actually think this is useful to have for every already existing solution on our radar, in order to potentially map it to each city’s specific challenges.

Hi Tim, I’m visiting the ITS World Congress i Copenhagen this week, so I’ll get back to you when I’m back in Gothenburg.

Malin, cc all,

Are you at the MaaS Summit or SIS15 on IoT and Mobility? I’m here, moderating and presenting.

Cheers,

M
